Week 1 on the Camino de Santiago, Camino Francés Sunday, May 25, 2025 This handsome guy brought me to the airport. He dropped me off so I could check my bag while he parked. As I was checking in, the airline employee asked about my travels so I explained to her about the Camino. After I was all checked in, I told her that I needed to wait for my son to park and we would say our goodbyes. She asked if I would like for him to accompany me to the gate. She said that she could issue him special gate access since this was a special occasion. Week 4 - Camino de Santiago

Week 4 on the Camino de Santiago, Camino Francés Day 22 - Tuesday, June 17, 2025 Santibanez de Valdeiglesia to  Astorga So my morning started out needing to do a little creative field medicine. My toe drained so much that the thread was crusted to skin and would not pull out. Problem solving at 4:30 am using the light of my headlamp while trying not to make any noise … interesting. After soaking it, I was finally able to pull out the threads. But it looked pretty infected so I could not put Compeed over an infection … but I have no bandaids. Solution, alcohol wipe over blistered skin then Compeed over that, make shift bandaid until I can get to a pharmacy in Astorga. This could be a problem. Week 6 on the Camino de Santiago, Camino a Finisterre y a Muxía Day 36 - Tuesday, July 01, 2025  Finisterre (Fisterra)  to Muxía Voice memo from the trail: I’m on the road to Muxía. I’ve only been walking less than an hour outside of Finisterre when there was another one of those little churches with the same volunteer. It was open so I went inside to pray and broke down in tears again unexpectedly. Praying for every step that I take between here and Muxía God gets rid of my old life, my old worries, my own everything, hatred for myself and replace it with something new so by the time I get to Muxía I’m good to go. Last night so I chose to watch the sunset, kind of a bucket list thing to say I did it.
